Aycock, a native of Little Rock Arkansas has brought his soulful
sensations to the Dallas scene for many years. As a six year old boy
singing along as the local barber played the sax, Mr. Aycock knew that he
had found his passion, the saxophone. School band experiences led him to
Wiley College in Marshall, Texas. He has been playing ever since then! His
talents were recognized by Johnnie Taylor during the six years he toured
with Mr. Taylor. With such a dynamic versatility in his music style, he
captured a role in “Blues Bar”, a play starring Billy Preston and Phyllis
Hyman. Over the years, the intimate sounds of Aycock’s saxophone have
cradled the voices of such great artists as Dorothy Norwood, Alberina
Walker, Billy Preston, Aretha Franklin, Regina Belle and Miki Howard.
